Biography:
With nearly 25 years of experience in capital markets and wealth management, Dennis Kawin is a founding member of Gen Capitals. Prior to co-founding the firm, he was with RBC Wealth Management for nine years, following previous experience working in similar capacities at Barclays Wealth and Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. His resume also includes several years of venture capital and private equity experience as part of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, where he was an assistant vice president in the Capital Markets Group in the early aughts before transitioning to the Private Wealth Group in 2007. Before returning to study for his MBA, Dennis worked in international business development as a sales engineer for an overseas-based manufacturing company in Taiwan. Dennis earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in addition to an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He currently serves both alma maters as a member of the The Georgia Institute of Technology School of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s External Advisory Board, as well as a representative on the Carey Business School Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board at Johns Hopkins University. Dennis and his wife reside in Bangkok, Thailand, with their two children.
